Giving Back

In addition to the RAYAC Foundation, RAYAC members give back to the community in many ways.  In the past year, RAYAC members participated in several community projects in the York and Adams County areas. RAYAC is very engaged in ensuring that York and Adams Counties are great places to live, work, play and learn.

Here are some of the community projects RAYAC members have completed:

Park Clean Ups
Members created curb appeal to Renaissance Park in the City of York by weeding, planting and mulching flower beds.

Junior Achievement
Members provide budget counseling to high school juniors and seniors through Junior Achievement’s Real Life program.

Leg Up Farms
Members decorate the “RAYAC House” at Leg Up Farm for different seasons and holidays.

Shred Event
RAYAC hosted two community shred events for residents to dispose of sensitive documents in a safe and secure manner.

Homeless Outreach Project
RAYAC coordinated a Homeless Outreach Project with a variety of community partners to connect homeless individuals and families with vital community services, obtain IDs and replacement birth certificates and receive a hot meal and donated items. Members collected toiletries and cold weather supplies to assemble homeless 100 kits.

RAYAC is currently accepting homeless kits and looking for volunteers for the November 2nd event. For more information about the upcoming event, click here.
